I was sitting on top of a bench1 when Prince and Lucas walked by to make fun of me for reading performatively. We talked about a range of things — from logic symbols to Chinese international students’ soccer abilities — and of all of them, what has proven most influential is how important family is.
And by this I mean that Korean, Japanese, Chinese — for here, they are interchangeable in some sense, to North Carolinian eyes — culture, extending to Koreans in Japan, deeply changes how we relate to our relatives.
